EarthKeepers is a handpainted card series by resident Rain artist Stefanie de Beer. Each card follows an endangered or at-risk South African animal through its own habitat. The envelope shows the environment it depends on, while the back of the card records its South African names, its role in nature, and a small map showing where it is found.

The series keeps animal, language, place, and ecological function together. That is the point of the work.
